Adyen’s Data Solution: Running the brains behind payments
A click on a payments page, a tap of your bankcard on a terminal or automatic collection for a subscription; we make payments all the time. It is commonly effortless and happens in a matter of seconds. At Adyen, we work hard to make payments look simple, but on the background there’s a lot going on. Every single day we process and optimise millions of individual transactions in a data-driven fashion, offering great customer experience and making sure payments don’t unnecessarily block conversion or cause churn for our merchants. Next to this we provide our business, merchants and authorities with relevant insights and reports to improve our products, enhance merchant satisfaction and to comply with legal requirements. We wouldn’t be able to do that without machine learning, reporting, analytics and a super solid infrastructure to make all of the aforementioned happen. In this presentation I’ll give you a taste of how we use data at Adyen in an ethical manner to help our merchants grow and how we go about that from a technical and organisational perspective.
